Berry Phase (two dimensional system)

Hi All. I need assistance for calculating the in-plane polarization in two dimensional system. The guidebook only provide an example and explanation for the bulk system with the Polarization unit in muC/cm^2. I would like to have an output for the polarization value in pC/m (because it is two dimensional). Is there anyway to obtain this?

Ghina

Hi,

You can convert the 3D polarization value to the 2D one by multiplying the 3D value by the length of the out-of-plane lattice constant.
