NEGF and insulators

Dear Taisuke,

The Fermi level of an insulator can be placed arbitrary in the gap. Any other physical quantity (i.e. transmission) should not depend on this choice. Is it the case of OpenMX? Do you subtract the Fermi level from boundary conditions of the Poission equation for the Hartree potential?

Regargs,

Artem

Hi,

How to determine the Fermi level (chemical potential) in OpenMX can be found at

If you still have questions, please let me know.
