Tetrahedron method applicability

Hi,

I wonder whether the tetrahedron method is applicable when one uses one- and two-dimensional k-point grids. The formulation I've encountered in the 1994 paper by Blochl assumes that the Brillouin zone is tiled into tetrahedra, which is not obvious when the B-zone is sampled using a 1D or 2D grid.

Thanks in advance,
VA

Hi,

I think that the tetrahedron method can be applicalble even for
1D and 2D systems. In the formulation, we only have to consider
no dipersion along the vaccum directions.
